SEAN GAISFORD
Sean Gaisford is a South African bassist specializing in the metal and extreme scene.
With multiple tours in South Africa and most recently Germany, he has shared the stage with the biggest names in SA metal, including a standout performance at Wacken 2024—one of the largest metal festivals in Europe, drawing 85,000 attendees.
As a member of the award-winning bands Raptorbaby and Sunken State, Sean has performed alongside acts like Fit for a King, Sikth, and The Black Dahlia Murder, among many others.
In addition to performing, he is a session bassist, Elixir Strings Endorsee and co-creator of Midnight Energy, an alt media company dedicated to promoting the local music scene.

Raptorbaby is a South African based progressive metal band.
The band started as a concept to create heavy, technical and often trippy compositions. This dedication to producing something unique has landed Raptorbaby alongside Protest The Hero, 36 Crazyfists and Monuments.
